Introduction
JM Personal Trainer (“the App”) is operated by João Mealha / JM Fitness to deliver coaching, workout planning, nutrition guidance and posture assessment. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal and health-related information is collected, used and protected when you use the App.
Information we collect
We collect the information you provide during registration and onboarding (such as name, contact details, date of birth, profession and coaching goals), health and lifestyle data from your anamnesis, workout logs, nutrition records, posture photographs submitted through the App, push notification tokens and technical data required to operate the service securely.
How your information is used
Your details are used exclusively to provide and improve your coaching services within this business. They support personalised training plans, progress tracking, posture review and communication from your coach. We do not use your data for unrelated marketing or resale.
No sharing with third parties
Your personal and health information is not sold, rented or shared with third parties, advertisers or unrelated organisations. Access is limited to authorised staff within the business who need the information to deliver your coaching. We do not disclose your details to anyone else unless required by applicable law.
Posture photographs
Posture pictures you upload are treated as sensitive health data. They are encrypted in transit and at rest, stored on secure infrastructure and protected with technical and organisational measures designed to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure or leaks. Only authorised coaching staff within the business can view them for assessment purposes.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and coaching continues. You may request account deletion at any time from Settings in the App or by emailing joao.mealha97@gmail.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request” and the email address registered on your account. When your account is deleted, associated personal, health and posture data is permanently removed from our systems within 5 business days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
Your rights
You may access, correct or delete your information through the App or by contacting your coach. Where applicable under data protection law (including the GDPR), you may also object to certain processing or request a copy of your data.
